The
BVH Difference
In an
age where all the once compassionate
neighborhood veterinary practices are
being consumed by heartless big box
veterinary conglomerates, Bishop
Veterinary Hospital continues to
demonstrate the true meaning of
Compassionate Veterinary Care while
setting a standard in veterinary care
that the corporate conglomerates can't
even envision.
Bishop
Veterinary Hospital was started over 30
years ago by Dr Thomas Talbot and Dr
Carl Lind. Both graduate of UC Davis and
active ranch owners, Doctors Talbot and
Lind have dedicated their lives to the
health and care of animals. Aside from
being the current president of the
California Cattlemen’s Association, Dr
Talbot is a past president of the Inyo
Mono-Alpine Cattlemen’s Association; a
member of the CCA Cattle Health
Committee, a director on the board for
the National Cattlemen’s Beef
Association Policy Division and is a
member of the Harris Ranch Partnership
for Quality.

Through
out BVH’s 30 plus year history, Doctors
Talbot and Lind have been the mentors to
many great young veterinarians including
one of our favorites, Dr Diana Drumm.
Unfortunately, like all great phenoms,
Diana has moved on to secure her own
legacy by opening
Lakeside Animal Hospital in Reno.
Diana is currently receiving notoriety
for her revolutionary work in
Veterinarian Stem Cell Regenerative
Medicine.
BVH’s
newest superstar is Dr. Nicole Milici,
or Dr. Nicky as she is affectionately
known. Nicky worked at BVH all through
high school then after graduation went
off to veterinarian school, luckily for
us after graduating veterinarian school
she choose to come back to BVH where we
are very fortunate to have her. Nicky is
truly a prodigy in the making and I hope
she stays to achieve her greatness at
BVH.
Although
we haven't had the pleasure of dealing
with Dr. London as much as we have the
other doctors at BVH, on the few
occasions we have dealt with him we can
say that, like the other doctors at BVH,
Dr London is an excellent veterinarian
and has always taken exceptional care of
our pets.

From
Our Point of View
So what
makes Bishop Veterinarian Hospital so
special? Doctors Talbot and Lind could
have easily chosen to follow the trend
in the veterinary industry to build a
big high priced vanity driven hospital
with tons of status and the exorbitant
prices to match, but that’s not what
they are about. Instead Doctors Talbot
and Lind are the kind of doctors that
favor function over form which is why
they have chosen to keep things simple
and invest in outreach clinics where
they can help as many animals as
possible.
For most
people it only takes a minute after
walking through the door to see what
makes Bishop Veterinary Hospital so
different. While the big veterinary
conglomerates like VCA are trying to
push the Industry towards an environment
that mimics the human medical industry,
with the high prices and somber waiting
rooms to match, but that’s not what
you’ll find at BVH. When you walk
through the door at BVH you’ll find a
scene of happy chaos where a waiting
room full of customers and pets are
talking and laughing with each other and
the staff.
Also,
there is another thing that makes BVH so
special. When you spend as much time
there as I do you know that, from the
minute they unlock the doors in the
morning until long after they have
locked the doors at the end of regular
office hours, they are so busy. They
have more then enough business right
there in Bishop to make a really good
living, so why do they go through all
the expense and extreme toil to run the
out of town clinics? The answer can only
be one thing, they care that much more
then the other guys do about us and our
pets which for us is what makes BVH “The
Greatest Veterinarian Hospital in the
world!”
